Dear Researchers,
An information webinar on the 2025 calls of the New European Bauhaus (NEB), launched under the Horizon Europe Programme, is being organized by the Local Government Academy of the Marmara Municipalities Union in collaboration with TÜBİTAK.
📅 Date: Thursday, 14 August 2025
🕑 Time: 14:00 – 15:30 (TRT)
🌐 Venue: Online
The event aims to provide detailed information about the application process and raise awareness about the content of the NEB calls, primarily for municipalities preparing proposals, as well as for all relevant stakeholders.
📌 What is the New European Bauhaus Instrument?
The NEB Instrument is a holistic policy and funding tool developed by the European Commission under the European Green Deal. It aims to approach sustainability not only as an environmental goal but also through the lenses of aesthetics, inclusiveness, and quality of life. The instrument supports innovative projects that shape the green transition in social, cultural, and spatial dimensions with both financial and technical assistance.
The NEB calls focus on the following themes:
- Sustainable and inclusive redesign of public spaces
- Integration of historical and cultural heritage with the green transition
- Development of nature-based solutions
- Support for resilient and participatory community structures
The calls encourage multi-actor projects implemented through partnerships among local authorities, public institutions, civil society organizations, universities, research centers, cultural and arts institutions, and the private sector. Proposals are evaluated not only in terms of technical eligibility but also based on their societal impact, design quality, and inclusiveness.
The call will close on 12 November 2025. You can access the NEB 2025 Work Programme here.
